Pneuma Guide Standards

Role
A Pneuma guide is a member of Pneuma (Saba Cooperative mission) recognized by the circle to:
- Hold covenant space for the entheogenic experience tool in Pneuma · Oakland only
- Hold preparation and integration as spiritual counsel (not clinical treatment)
- Uphold the Statement of Faith and Guide Standards
Guides are not marketed or listed on the Ashland circle page. In Ashland, guides participate as community members only.
Formation
- Completion of Myco-Method guide training (or equivalent recognition by circle stewards)
- Affiliation with Saba Cooperative
- Steward review and circle acknowledgment
- Ongoing peer consultation among guides
Conduct
- Dual guide presence for entheogenic experience when possible (presiding + supporting)
- Screening for contraindications before entheogenic experience; decline when safety requires
- No promised outcomes — spiritual counsel, not therapeutic promises
- No per-session pricing — community sustenance through reciprocity, not commerce
- Confidentiality with mandatory exception for imminent harm
- Documentation — preparation completed, covenant signed, incident logs when needed

Oregon-based guides travel to Oakland for convocation weekends on the published liturgical calendar.
Coordination

Recognition
Guide status is recorded in the internal roster (ops/guide-roster.json). Public channels never list guide names alongside entheogenic experience offers.
