Pneuma — a Saba Cooperative mission

Pneuma

We recognize Pneuma — breath, spirit, the living presence that moves through all beings — as the ground of sacred experience. Spiritual life is not confined to doctrine or institution; it is encountered in sincerity, community, and the willingness to meet the threshold.

Pathworking

We practice pathworking as a spiritual journey: guided inner passage through archetypal gates, symbol, and mythic landscape. The Tree of Life and its paths are maps for self-inquiry, not dogma. We study, walk, and integrate — in fellowship before and after any entheogenic encounter.

Entheogenic experience

We hold certain entheogenic medicines — particularly psilocybin-bearing mushrooms — as a tool for entheogenic experience when used in intentional religious context: preparation, spiritual journey, and integration under the care of Pneuma guides. This is not recreation, treatment, or commerce. It is religious exercise undertaken in covenant community.

Interfaith mysticism

We draw from many streams — mystical Christianity, Kabbalah, indigenous reverence (without appropriation), contemplative practice, and contemporary consciousness research — always privileging sincerity over lineage claims. No single tradition owns the truth we seek together.

Community

We believe integration does not happen alone. The community holds what the individual cannot. Fellowship, honest dialogue, and mutual care are as essential as any single experience.

Ecology & reciprocity

Aligned with Saba Cooperative's living principles, we honor the living Earth, practice reciprocity, and reject extractive relationships — with land, with medicine, and with one another.

Guides

Pneuma guides are members formed through the Myco-Method tradition and recognized by the circle to hold covenant space for entheogenic experience. Guides serve in Oakland. In Ashland, guides appear only as community members — not as holders of the entheogenic experience tool.

Religious standing

Pneuma operates as a mission of Saba Cooperative, exercising sincere religious practice under the protections afforded spiritual community. We do not operate under state medical psilocybin programs.
